Guidelines for clients and providers joining NurseApp

1. Client Onboarding (Patients & Families)

Verification & Account Setup

  • Full legal name
  • Verified phone/email
  • Address (for in-home visits)
  • Emergency contact
  • Optional: insurance card

Safety & Consent

  • NurseApp is not for emergencies - call 911
  • Care provided by licensed independent providers
  • All bookings, payments, and communication must occur within NurseApp

Payment Setup

  • Valid credit card or payment method required
  • Payment authorization at time of booking

Training / Orientation

  • Simple in-app tutorial: How to Book, How to Pay, How to Rate
  • Trust reminder: PHIA & PIPEDA compliance + insurance coverage applies only when booking via NurseApp

2. Provider Onboarding (Nurses & Allied Health)

Credential Verification

  • Professional license (RN, LPN, CCA, etc.)
  • Malpractice insurance certificate
  • Government-issued ID
  • Background check (criminal + vulnerable sector)
  • NurseApp staff manually review + approve

Compliance Training

  • PHIA & PIPEDA compliance
  • Documentation & reporting standards
  • Anti-bypass, cancellation, and reliability policy
  • Infection control & safety best practices

Reliability & Cancellation

  • Maintain >95% reliability rate
  • Cancellations within 24 hrs = penalty or strike
  • 3 strikes = suspension

Payment & Fees

  • Weekly payouts via secure transfer
  • Provider retains X% of booking fee (stated in contract)
  • Bonuses for reliability, referrals, and CarePods

3. Joint Safety Policies

Verify Provider ID

Both parties agree to verify provider ID before each visit.

Safe Environment

Keep environment safe, well-lit, and accessible.

Report Incidents

Report incidents immediately via NurseApp safety channel.

4. Audit & Enforcement

Platform Logs

NurseApp maintains logs of all bookings & payments.

Compliance Audits

Random compliance audits conducted quarterly.

Violations

May result in account suspension, termination, or legal remedies.
